Probe Presidents Message
Exactly 6 months ago I took office as the President. I am happy with the progress of the MPDPA. I would like to thank my able committee and manager Ms Sivakami for the progress a so far. We are still progressing and we need the support of the membership to progress further. The secretariat has been given a general overhaul and the web page is being updated and we have created a new email address mpdpa1@gmail.com .
We are proud that we have responded to complaints and enquiries from the membership and helped solved them. The road shows have been put on hold as we are yet to get sponsors for it, as well as the membership is concentrated in the Klang valley. I have explained my Dental Plan to the committee and to our respected Senior Director of Oral Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia and her team during our meeting on 26th March 2009 at Putra Jaya.We will inform you once we get the sponsorship for the road shows.
We have had a successful Nurses’ Seminar on 1st March 2009, the report is presented by our treasurer who was the organizing chairman. I would like to commend him, as he was still in mourning (his mother had just passed away a few days ago) and yet he came with responsibility towards MPDPA. Thank you once again Dr. Rama. Dear members for your information, you can claim as expenses in your clinic account for membership and seminars attended by you and your staff. So please participate in all seminars and activities and enjoy your benefits.
We led a delegation of 5 of our committee members for a formal meeting on the 26th March 2009 with our respected Senior Director of Oral Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia Datin Dr. Norain and her team of Datin Dr. Zeila, Dr. I Venugopal, and Dr. Noormi at her Grand Office at Putra Jaya, the report is presented by our Publications Secretary Dr. Vijendran.

Dear Colleagues,
Change is inevitable. It is a fact of life. It occurs with time in every aspect of life. To be in denial of change that occurs with the passage of time, serves no purpose. We have a choice to fight against the current or accept and go with the flow. We can fight the change or embrace it. The point I want to make is that “Change” is a multifaceted issue. Some people are not mentally equipped to analyse multi-dimensional complex issues thoroughly and as a result they accept the wide logic that reigns supreme at high school levels which may not hold true among mature and educated individuals.
CPD and changing our character for the better, is very necessary for us to be personalities who always want to improve and so be successful.
I hope that I receive quick replies to the fliers sent to all General Practitioners and Dental Specialists. Please encourage your friends who are not members to become members of MPDPA and to reply to the fliers sent out in April 2009.
With this message I pen off till September 2009 issue of the Probe, hoping to meet as many of you during our Members’ Nite on the 11th July at Hilton (K.L. Sentral).
